Album Notes
david is well-known as a 12 survivor of a malignant brain tumor that was supposed to have killed him in 6 months. His amazing story of hope and survival has been shared with and inspired thousands of fans all over the world. If you are reading this here on CD baby, you are also learning that david is a prolific songwriter and keeps a relentless tour schedule across the nation and the world in support of his multiple CD’s. The more you get to know his music, the more you will learn of the many sides of david: survivor, yes, but also poet, philosopher, theologian, comedian, activist, husband, father, friend, and lover of all things coffee. This Presbyterian, passionate, fully reformed, liberally conservative peace-loving hippie-folksinger will wow you exotic guitar licks, but also inspire you with words you only wish you’d written yourself. Take the time to browse, listen, buy a couple CD;’s, visit his website, www.davidmbailey.com, and odds are before long, he’ll be in your area and you’ll be a fan of the music and the man. Thanks for stopping by – Keep on!!

This is his first project to include songs other people have written which he interprets with his usual gentle touch. The combination of traditional songs and new original songs creates a blending of music and message sure to shed fresh insight on the greatest story of all time

Great---really enjoyed it!
I have always liked David's style and story, but this new Christmas CD is great! His newly written songs and his interpretation of some of the old classics have made this a top choice for me this Christmas! Thanks, David, for a wonderful collection for this time of year!

Excellent. So soothing at this hectic time of the year.

The Lion and the Lamb
Combining Christianity's lion and lamb, Bailey delivers an intense, intelligent reading of Christmas spirit. "Noisy Night" is a perfect reinterpretation of that mystical night in the stable. And it's very moving. A new Aslan.

Christmas culture countered; back to the real stuff
A voice by turns reminiscent of Dylan, or even of Lou Reed (perhaps unlikely peers), singer-song writer David M. Bailey gives contemporary Christmas a desperately-needed makeover. Spare guitar, simple hand percussion and flute, sweet cello, and Bailey's lyrics force a counter-commercial and even counter-religious examination of Christmas culture, landing a very human Christ child in the midst of an intensely needy world. Bailey gives us, in something like his own words about God ('We asked'), a quiet, meditative, intense dose of "what we needed," not necessarily our own desires.

This album made my Christmas! Perfect for a quiet night to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Well done, David!!

Christmas message beautifully sung - nice combination of songs
A beautiful CD that isn't too loud and noisy or too "Elevator" music - Guitar adds a different take on old favorites that I like.

My New Favorite Christmas CD
This collection includes two new Christmas songs that are already favorites in our house - Angel in the Attic and All I Want for Chrismas. We also enjoy the new renderings of old favorites, especially Once in Royal David's City. Just an excellent addition to our Christmas music library and one that is on top of the CD pile this year. We bought 7 more for gifts.

X'mas in my heart...
Another gem of David's renditions. Wonderful seasonal music in a very relaxed and reflective mood with appropriate lyrics saying that much and giving you the real feel of a quiet night.
