Album Notes
"I See A Rainbow," is collection of 13 songs, and is the first of four "Virtual Records" that I have been working on, mostly over the past 4-5 years; all of which will be released over the coming few months. As my earlier recordings have been more heavily weighted with my originally written songs, and those original songs of some other lesser known songwriters, starting with "I See A Rainbow," I have taken time to learn to play, and have recorded many of the popular songs that I have personally enjoyed in my life. I do include 2-3 of my original songs on each of the four "Records." as well as some lesser known original songs by some very special songwriters, whom I think of as my brothers in music. I will say this, if you are looking for a wall of sound that drowns out lyrics that aren't worth repeating, perhaps this might not be the music for you. However, if you like meaningful lyrics, sung along with clear solid acoustically grounded musical accompaniment, you may have just stumbled onto something that, if you give it a solid listen, will leave you feeling all the better for it. After all, I should know, I am Doc Mason, and making you feel better is what I have always been committed to. It comes with the territory.
