Album Notes
Doghouse Grove consists of 4 band members that recorded this album as well as several guest musicians from the Indianapolis music scene. Wm F Burns, a native Montanan, has lived in Indianapolis for the last 20 years. Burns wrote the lyrics and music for the album. The band he formed, Doghouse Grove, is a group of Indy musicians that came together simply to jam and enjoy original music. Over the course of the last 6 years Shawn Parslow has been Burns' musical partner, and has added leadership & colorful guitar leads as well as mandolin, acoustic, electric, and ukulele runs. Doug Gaking has added perfectly fitted percussion to this album. Jim Murray was the last addition to Doghouse Grove with his smooth bass sounds to round out the songs. There were local additional musicians that added to "The Good Stuff" album to help bring it to life. Vocalist Megan Swazuk added to several tracks. Megan is a professional vocalist with an academic background at esteemed IU School of Music. Her protege, Abby Burns, also added background vocals. Guitarist Brian McGuire, a musician friend of Burns & Parslow added some guitar licks to the song Good Stuff. This album is the culmination of 20 years of music that comes to life in 8 tracks.
