Album Notes
Domenico "Mr.Volare" Modugno presented "Piove" (better known with an alternate title taken from the chorus lyric "Ciao, ciao bambina") in 1959 at the Sanremo Festival (which he won) and the Eurovision Song Contest in Cannes (gaining a 3rd placement).
Inspiration for the song came to Modugno while seeing two lovers saying goodbye to each other in a rainy day at a train station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
A timeless classic and one of the masterpieces of Italian pop music.
