Perfect for this occasion
This was perfect for my grandmothers last hours and for us around her. Very soothing and i can see myself playing it for hours and feeling complete calmness

Wonderful for Hospice
I use this in my work as a Hospice chaplain, and I love its subtle, peaceful style. Because the songs are not "catchy" or overly rhythmic, it easily provokes a relaxed, restful state. This is not New-Agey relaxation - it's careful, compassionate therapeutic music and I recommend it!

Ordered it on Mon 12/18/06 from CD Baby. Received it on Tue 12/19/06. My mother passed away early morning Thur 12/21/06.
This CD is perfect and I appreciate the simplicity and sensitivity of the harp music. It is soothing for both the dying AND the living left behind.

Beautiful, peaceful, serene................
The music on this CD is unbelievebly beautiful. It took me to an incredibly peaceful place. I'm sure that when used
in a hospice setting it will bring much serenity to all
who hear it. I'm so thankful to have found it!

Tranquil music to soothe the soul of the dying
This is strictly harp music that is intended to soothe rather than set a somber mood. The melodies aren't anything you'd find yourself whistling or humming along to, rather, they're melodies that are intended to simply relax to. It isn't so dreary or slow tunes that would make one feel as if they were on their last leg, but it's also not some uplifting oh-my-heavens-I-think-God-just-touched-my-soul feel good music. I played this in the car so I could hear it in its entirety before playing for my hospice patients, and I while I didn't find it boring, it wasn't a CD I couldn't wait to play over and over again. It's obviously perfect background music for the patient to mellow out to without embarking on an array of emotional or nostalgic memories that familiar songs could invoke. It's simply tunes meant to soothe.

I thought I would use it only for some of the Hospice patients I see but I tried it a few times with my massage clients and they really liked how it had a calming effect on them. If you like Harp music then this is the CD for you.

Very simple, exquisitely relaxing music for use with the actively dying. I have seen this work well for improving breathlessness and restlessness.
