Album Notes
The opening song, Beans and Hot Sauce (New Orleans) The opening song of this cd suggest a Bossa Nova type style with that southern flavor with strong percussion background. The entire piece has something of a compulsion about it with a rhythm that seizes one from the introduction of this well crafted idea. The four Solo's are competent and sensible making a smooth transition from one instrument to the other in an almost seamless manner. The reason for having only four solo's is that the bassist will lay out in terms of the time of a solo duration again, In short he remains an influence, though substely or, not to risk psycho-babble unconsciously. The overall cd is great and has rave reviews among strong jazz critics nationally and abroad, Test it for yourself and let us know what you think. Don Lewis/ L-Town
