Album Notes
Donna Ferra is a high energy country pop artist with a sweet soulful voice that you can actually feel. With a fresh upbeat sound, outgoing personality, and movie star looks she is determined to make some noise in the country
music scene. Donna was a CCMA Rising Star nominee and she has an official 2003 CCMA Showcase spot. Her recording company, Music Mentor Productions was a CCMA Best Independent Record Company nominee. The quality of Donna Ferra's music is being recognized and celebrated!

Donna Ferra is a Toronto based singer/songwriter who was raised in Thornbury, Ontario. A small town girl with humble beginnings is what gives Donna her unparalleled charm! She has attracted the hottest musicians to
record and perform with her, like Wendell Ferguson, Brian Tulk (Jason McCoy's drummer) and Tom Lewis (Amanda Marshall's bassist). One of her fans is guitar hero Jeff Healey. Jeff has booked Donna to play at his club on numerous occasions and performs on Donna's song "Waited Long Enough". Karen Cross of Spin Music has gone outside her labels roster to track "Waited Long Enough" that Donna co-wrote. Fifteen stations added "Waited Long Enough" in the first week of tracking including BDS station Y105 in Ottawa.

Donna has traveled to Nashville a number of times in the past few years. When in Nashville, Donna pitches her songs, co-writes and performs in the writer's rounds. Donna Ferra has been a special guest at The Bluebird Cafe, The French Quarter and The Broken Spoke (which included a live internet simulcast). Donna has landed the cuts, "You Tonight", on Megan Morrison's first CD, "So Far From You Now" on Cristie Hall's CD and "Why Me?" will be an upcoming single release by Jenn Marino. Last year Donna showcased at Ranchman's in Calgary, sharing the stage with Colin Amey, Megan Morrison, and Russ McIvor. With John Theil as her band leader, Donna rocked a full house which has a capacity of 2500. Her performance was hot enough to land
an on the spot radio interview and two of her songs were added to CHLS 100.5 play list on Sept 10th! Donna also organized and appeared on the CCMA 2002 Compilation CD that every CCMA delegate received.

Music Mentor Productions are currently promoting Donna Ferra, with plans to release her debut album in the summer of 2003. Donna has also co-written her third single, Free Spirit that will also be released in the summer of 2003. Donna's music speaks louder than words...listen.

Good debut cd.
Waited Long Enough is a good first attempt by Donna Ferra. Songs to check out include A Little More Love and Love Is Gonna Get You. Her rendition of Mercedes Benz is a nice added touch too.

I'm not what you'd call a fan of country-tinged pop songs. But, I've got to tell you, this CD is for anyone who is interested in catchy, singable and memorable pop songs. The country overtones are usually subtle and the production is stellar!
