ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album was recorded live on August 15, 2009 in Orangeville, Ontario in a big barn at a party. We used traditional instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keys, bagpipes, harmonica, accordian), and did our best to hark back to the days
of my Maritime, Canadian roots with the idea of a kitchen party.

The music is sparse and lilting, the songs are traditional with a modern twist, they are heartfelt and tell a story, which is what I do when I am singing, the originals are my own, or co-written and the musicians playing on this are some of my oldest musical compadres from the infancy of my musical upbringing.

I am very proud of this cd, its feeling, musicality, intention and originality. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed singing it.
