Album Notes
The songs on Looking For A Better Way are built primarily around the lyrical content which are born of Doug's passion for American values, love and respect for everyone, despite their background, upbringing or place in life. The record is mostly acoustic guitar, bass, drums and vocals but has some polish in fiddle, electric instruments and secondary vocals. It is produced well, but decidedly not OVER-PRODUCED. The tracks were mixed by one of Nashville's best kept secrets in the Engineering world, Joe McMahan and was mastered by Jim Demain who has such worthy credits as John Hiatt, Steve Earle, and Jimmy Buffett just to name a few.
