Album Notes
Dr. Douglas King is a CEO who served three governors and three university presidents in public service. Now he has returned to his love for keyboard performance.

After attending the prestigious Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, he won many awards at juried piano competitions attended by thousands of people. He played on television, in clubs and for special events.

He was candidly recorded in hundreds of private sessions. Those who listened said they never heard anything quite like it before or since. They urged him to share his music.

Then one day hundreds of people heard him play at an art exhibition and they requested copies of his recordings. They coaxed him into releasing some CDs. Now a niche audience of thousands of adventurous listeners around the world follows his music.

The CDs he has released are all different. They are an eclectic collection of genres; an unconventional salad of unexpected sounds and styles that defy categories.

Doug has written hundreds of songs. Over one hundred of them are on other CDs he has recorded. The CDs and songs are totally different in style and feeling from this one. Each one is unique.

Some CDs are relaxed; some are intense. Some are long; some are short. Some are warm; some are cold. Some are rhythmic; some are halting. Some are familiar; some are very, very odd. One is even a narrated music video.

But they all have one thing in common:

They are deceptively simple melodies and you will remember how they made you feel.

This album is a live recording of one of Doug’s concert performances in Milwaukee attended by an audience of over one thousand people. The performance received a standing ovation and rave reviews in the press.
