Album Notes
Downhill Ryder is a well-fused blend of acoustic and electric. Imagine the sound born from a folk songwriter, a classic rock guitarist, a country pianist, a heavy metal drummer and a jazz bassist...Tones that dance, cry, or rage to set the foundation for a gritty vocal to soar high above. Downhill Ryder delivers honest, heartfelt music ensuring the listener has an experience.

This is a band with a variety of songwriting styles: Kim Kelley’s vocals and songwriting strongly reflect her Folk and Interpersonal Singer/Songwriter history. Guitarist Matthew Finfer adds a solid rock flavor with girth and body, as well as, detailed textures that express his strong Blues and Classic/Southern Rock musical upbringing. Chad Petersen brings his Retro-Country flair on the keyboards as well as integral arrangement and songwriting skills. Jazz Bassist-extraordinaire John Allen contributes fluid and vital bass lines while never succumbing to predictable or standard approaches. Brett Allehoff keeps the beats with a power and flair, that assure you that this band can rock.
