ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Drawing Attention - a band formed specifically to create downloadable music as a freebie during the month of Comic Con in San Diego. These songs will be made free to those who generously give blood for the Comic Con 2014 blood drive, and is free for the entire months of July and August to make sure you have plenty of time to download the songs.

After that, the band will recoup our costs, and give all profits to the San Diego Blood Bank as a donation.

Comic-Con's Robert A. Heinlein Blood Drive returns for its 38th big year in 2014! This blood drive is San Diego Blood Bank's longest-running event: last year we collected 1,497 pints of blood over the four-day convention. - See more at: http://www.comic-con.org/cci/blood-drive#sthash.anRzMUS5.dpuf

The members of this project are Geoff Hanson, Lisa Chaddock, and Geoff Spradley (composers all) and musicians Kevin Shine and David Shine round out the studio musicians who helped us create the songs.

Lisa wrote the lyrics, most of them based on books she was given at ComicCon 2013 and asked
(or given permission) to write songs that went with these books. This is your Summer Reading List.
The Book titles used for these songs are as follows:

The Boy at the End of the World by Greg Van Eekout (2 songs inspired by this really cool book)
Kid Vs. Squid by Greg Van Eekout
Holders Dominion by Genese Davis
The Shot (Traincoach of Death Book 1) by Leona Bushman AND
Magnificent Devices by Shelley Adina
Catwoman: When In Rome by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale and many more Catwoman DC comics
Superwoman by DC Comics

"Evening" was written because San Diego is such a great place for ComicCon!

"Song in My Heart" is dedicated to two Comic Con lovebirds who got married this year - James & Shane. Congratulations and many years of joy to you both!

Musicians:
Singers: Geoff, Lisa, Kevin, Jennifer
Keyboards: Geoff, Lisa, Kevin,Ted
Drums: Cody
Bass: David

These songs are for the enjoyment of those who gave blood. They will be free only for the month of ComicCon 2014, and then will be at the bargain price of only 29 cents per song for the rest of the year. Then, they will return to their normal pricing structure so that CDBaby doesn't kick us off for vagrancy.

If you didn't give blood, and are downloading these songs free, please consider going to your own local Blood Bank and either donate blood or money to this worthy cause. You never know when you may need it!

Please look for our next project in 2015 and remember to donate Blood at your local Blood Drive.
