These are our dedications this year, and we hope you'll decide to go get something from these authors/artists this year:

"Alien Attack" was written because of a tweet from audio producer Dirk Maggs while producing "Alien" for Audible.com, and Lisa just had to write a song about it! Geoff sings this bluesy song, but we hope that the Riotous Brothers will produce their own version. Disclaimer: no audio performers where harmed during the production, and there are no aliens at the studio.

The second song is called "Time Loop" and is written and sung by Lisa. She's giving a nod to the year of the woman with the first female Doctor Who, AND IDW's comic "Infinite Loop", by Pierrick Colinet, and Elisa Charretier. We are where we are because of those who broke barriers before us, and those who bravely continue to contribute with their talent and intellect to advance the world toward cooperation and peace.

Speaking of women - "Larger than Life" was written for another IDW comic, "Jem and the Holograms: Showtime" by Kelly Thompson, with art by Sophie Campbell and colors by M. Victoria Robado is about a romance between two rockers. Great story for teen and LGBTQ readers.

Locke & Key by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, is an IDW comic and a fan favorite. This comic is addicting, and hopefully, so is the song. This song is pure FILK - perfect for Comic-Con.

A Fragile Thing is for the comic "Dark Souls:Winter's Spite" by George Mann and Alan Quah, and it has a bittersweet romantic feel. We met Alan Quah last year and were absolutely amazed by his art. This is a must read.

Lady Death was written to honor the writer of Lady Death series, who has been doing this comic for over 20 years, and deserves notice for this achievement. The story-line remains fresh, and the art is amazing. Lisa wrote and sang this song, but had the whole crew join in for the "Lady Death" anthem. Rock on, Lady Death!

Are you addicted to your watch/clock/phone? "Atomic Watch" is about the technology that we rely on, that could easily get out of hand....

The pieces by Jonah's Swim this year are their great brand of trance and electronic music that is a fan favorite every year. We continue to meet young filmmakers each year who ask for work that they can use in indie films. Jonah's Swim pieces are ready to go!

Lastly, we could not do this without the support of our spouses/significant others, so to those we love. Thank you for many years of supporting our music and art, and for putting up with us the weeks before Comic-Con.
Craig Chaddock (Lisa's spouse)
Bette Jo Garrett (Geoff's partner)
Karen Shine (David's spouse)

We hope that you enjoy the variety, and that you continue to support the SAN DIEGO BLOOD BANK and donate regularly. It is you that we do this for, and you are the REAL HEROES of Comic-Con! Thank you.
