Album Notes
For the sixth year, we have brought together local San Diego artists to produce Drawing Attention Tales of the Con 2019. This is always so much fun to produce. So, first, THANK YOU for being willing to donate blood at the Heinlein Blood Drive this year! We truly appreciate all that you have done for the community.

And, happy 50th Anniversary Comic-Con San Diego!

Our producer is Geoff Hanson of PS Studios in San Diego, Jackson Taylor of Em3ry Productions and San Diego City College, and Michael Wang of San Diego City College, and Jonah's Swim from San Diego.
Our lyricist is Lisa Chaddock, and a few of the songs are by her with and Geoff or Jackson, and one with Sue Caldwell, and the Hero Remix is by Michael.
Our musicians: Vocals- Lisa, Geoff, Jackson. Keyboards: Geoff, Sue. Bass: David Shine, Sue. Other instruments are probably software.

Thank you to the authors who gave us consent to write songs to their material. Please, read their books, and support their work. Like musicians, their intellectual property is a precious gift. Here is our summer book list:

Comics this year feature Charon Comics:
Sol Survivor by Frederick Packard, Joshua Villiere, Daniel Lopez, AJ Young
Skylin by Fred Packard, Josh Villiere, Adam Cozart

Voyage of the Dogs by Greg Van Eekhout
Ignite the Stars by Maura Milan
Heliopause by J. Dianne Dotson
Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh

There's a Hero in You and Hero Remix first and foremost for all of you who gave blood. You are the Heroes this year. You are giving the gift of life to others.

I also want a special shout out for the gals this year, especially for Black Widow and Peggy Carter, Captain Marvel and all the women of Endgame. if you saw "Endgame" and you'll get this. Men are traditionally heroes, but this year, we got some pretty spectacular women.

The songs by Jonah's Swim are instrumental for general geekiness. They give us great tunes!

A few books didn't get the songs in time - so definitely next year, but please support these authors:
Chuck Wendig - awesome writer, lots of books. Get one. There are 2 songs in production for this author.
Delilah S. Dawson and Kevin Hearne - Kill the Farmboy. This song is being produced for the next project. Maybe two. So damn funny!
Laine Taylor - beautiful writing, can't get enough. There are 3 songs in production for next year for this author.

If there's a mid-year blood drive at the Comic-Con Museum, we'll do another project. But, for now, these are for next year.

Should you wish to use our songs on a Podcasts, just contact us on the Drawing Attention Facebook page. We are friendly and will be happy to help you out with using our songs for your project. CDBaby is our publisher, and can be contacted for songs to be used in film or television. We are all either ASCAP or BMI members. Please, do not steal this material. It's free to those who give blood for the first year, and then a nominal cost in the years after. We rely on this support to continue to produce these projects. Authors and comic artists, likewise, rely on your purchases to continue to make a living at their craft. We encourage you to buy comics and books, and enjoy them throughout the year.
