Donny Ray Evins sings with a beautiful bass baritone voice that seduces audiences of all ages. His sophisticated exciting performances are at the top of five star international standards. Donny has performed at exclusive five star venues and premier events around the world. His highlights include
Two Times Las Vegas Variety Entertainer of the Year, a headliner in Legends in Concert Broadway Tour, Base Singer and Master of Ceremony for “The Platters” for two years, International Television Appearances, opening Merv Griffin’s Coconut Ballrooms in Atlantic City and in the Bahamas, three time headliner with the Auckland New Zealand’s 65 piece Philharmonic Orchestra, headline artist for Casinos, Corporate Events, Night Clubs and Five Star International Cruise Lines.

Donny’s first endeavors were in the world of sports. He was the New Mexico State Judo Champion for three years running, as well as Junior Olympic Judo champion. He received a full scholarship to the University of New Mexico for Gymnastics. He then transferred to Pasadena City College and became California Junior College all-around Gymnastics Champion. Donny ended his sporting career at the University of Cal-State Fullerton. He was Team Captain and won fifth rank All-American status at the U.S.A. National Gymnastics Championships.

Donny started his entertainment career in television on “The Guinness Game show” in Los Angeles, California where he achieved a 1980 Guinness Book of world Record. He then tried his hand at acting receiving a part in Melanie Griffith’s movie, “Cherry 2000” and another Sci-fi movie entitled “Rubicon- Red Alert”.

Donny Ray’s first singing job was with the internationally acclaimed singing group “The Platters”. He toured the world for two years as the group’s master of ceremony and base singer. After leaving The Platters, he studied the music of Nat king Cole. Donny’s uncanny looks and smooth base baritone voice landed him a spot at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas, portraying the late Great Nat King Cole in the hit show “Legends in Concert”. In the two years of staring at the Imperial Palace, Donny won the Las Vegas new comer award and Las Vegas Variety Entertainer of the Year Award for both years. He was also a headliner for the “Legends in Concert Broadway tour”.

Donny left Legends after two years and moved to Australia, where he built a strong following becoming a regular performer on national television shows such as, “The Midday Show”, “Good Morning Australia” and “Melbourne’s Tonight Live” show. He was also a favorite on the yearly televised “Brisbane’s Lord Mayor Christmas Carols”. Donny is a recipient of two Australian “MO Award Nominations, for Best Male Vocal performer of the year. He also won the South Pacific Songwriting Award.

At last after 15 years of living in Australia, Donny Ray Evins has retuned home to the U.S.A. During his absence
Donny has developed and honed two spectacular shows, “Unforgettable” - a tribute to the late great Nat King Cole and, “Unchained Soul”- featuring some of the greatest of R&B, Soul, Rock, Jazz and Gospel music of all time. Donny has toured both shows internationally in Japan, New Zealand, Australia, China and Malaysia and on five Star International Cruise Lines. Both shows have received rave acknowledgements and standing ovations from clients, patrons and critics alike.
