Album Notes
"Rich in lyrical imagery" says a timeless quote from the Vancouver Sun; fired with "emotion" says Recording Magazine; "gritty" says Sun Media! These are just a few of the printed media quotes that have been used to describe my music.

My name is Drew Barnes, and I am a singer/songwriter of 3 minute, guitar driven, pop-rock songs.

After 30 years of performing, I still enjoy having a live audience, and I keep my music fresh with shows around my hometown of Vancouver, Canada, while getting great reviews and great fans around the world with airplay on jango.com and reverbnation.com, and on videos at youtube.

Some other quotes from the media include:

"one of the best indie artists out there."(Indie Cafe)

"Drew's songs have a power of their own." (Westender)

"perfect pop hooks" (Vancouver Courier)

"Jim Morrison vibe" (Recording Magazine)

My influences come from the street, and from the people I meet. All of my songs come from somewhere real. Whether a passionate love song like NO COMPROMISE, or a street-tinged rocker like STORYZ FROM HELL, these songs come from real-life experiences.

Bridging styles from pop, to punk, to folk-rock, and blues, and bridging generations from pre-internet until today, my songs are finding fans of all ages and backgrounds, from every corner of the world.

Thanks to you, making music will always be fun!
