ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This album was recorded in Nashville and mixed by grammy winning engineer, Bill Whittington. It features my friends, Chuck Loeb and Paul Jackson Jr. on the title track. Once again I headed to Nashville for my new signature sound. This sound is so live you feel like you are right there in studio as it's all going down. At one point if you listen closely you can even hear Craig Nelson, my favorite upright bass player, take a breath during his solo on "God Rest Ye." Gary Lunn makes a joyful noise slapping and popping on his Fender Jazz too. I want to thank Eric Copeland of Creative Soul Jazz for helping to bring the vision of "We 3 Stringz" to life. if you love jazz this album is for you. if you are just getting into jazz this is also a great album for you too. I can truly say you will not be disappointed -Drew

SCOTT O'BRIEN

SmoothJazz.com Review
WE 3 STRINGZ truly brings the heart of the holiday together with the creative joy that really outstanding musical performances can contribute to our lives. Drew Davidsen has selected some of his favorite hymns, and recorded them, as he puts it, “with my friends… live musicians in a room together.” The result is something he should be extremely proud of, it’s organic, compelling and uplifting jazz. Highlights for me include the title track featuring Drew together with compatriots Chuck Loeb and Paul Jackson Jr., and what I would have to say is the single best instrumental version of “Little Drummer Boy” I’ve ever heard! WE 3 STRINGZ is an absolute must-have for this holiday season. You will thank me for this recommendation!

A Wonderful Ride
This cat can flat-out play! The arrangements, by and large, are fresh, Drew's guitar playing is fantastic, the production is top notch, and the surrounding musicians bring their best game. The title track is the clear standout and "Carol Of The Bells" swings mightily as well. Craig Nelson does some sublime things with the bass, and Pat Coil cuts loose with some crazy, wild, mad skills on the piano. And Drew is just scary good. "We 3 Stringz" is a wonderful ride. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. --Stubby (www.stubbyschristmas.com)
