Aloha this album was created as a shelter for my homeless songs; new songs that may not have fit on my other cds, but needed to fly. So there is no theme or specific genre, which to me makes the cd more interesting. everything from Appalachian to rock
Genre: Country: Americana

Album Notes
Drew Music really doesn't fit comfortably in any one genre.. In place of country I would use rural.. when artist tell me they write country I want to ask them "What country?" I never tell myself what format a song should arrive in, so they come in many different flavors. but mostly old style rock, rural, blues, and folk. Some are just fun, but most have something to say, and they are mostly about enjoying life, and basic truths, and lessons I have earned on my journey. Left Overs is a CD comprised of newer songs I have written that didn't have a place to live, and were waiting in limbo...until I had enough of that type of song to make a album that made sense. Sometimes making no sense is the most fun of all.. This CD starts off with "Ol fashion guy" which is a rural blues tune about the benefits of living a simple life.. then comes "Ol banjo" which is pure Hillbilly... then " I love You" I don't know what that is.. next is "55 Chevy" a rock song about cruising in classic style.. I love and own several hot rods. Then comes to happy to sing da blues..a blues song about being to happy to whine about life.
followed by "not alone" mellow rock.. your not, there are lots of folks who feel similar to the way you do..just need to connect.. then "patriot" a real patriot not just a flag waver.. then "Black reign" get rid of the petroleum industry..there's a better way mean R&R ... next "Coming to me" I have no idea what to call this one.. maybe dreamy.. followed by "show me the way" Inspired by my kids leaving home.. next comes "On hold" solid country tear jerker about a down and out writer on the streets of Nashville.. then " Perfect stranger" we all get a chance to be one. and finally "Celebrate my life" a goodbye song for a good life well lived... Well there ya go... don't make no sense at all ... all Drew music is recorded in Nashville Tn. at the best studio in the word with the greatest musicians on the planet.. Thanks to Kenny at Direct image studio.
