ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Driftwood Scarecrow is the songwriting project of Northern Virginia based artist Chris Greene. Beyond the Breakers is his debut album, recorded in his bedroom on an antique version of Garageband. His influences include Sufjan Stevens, Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen, Bill Fay, and Nick Drake. This collection of songs explores distance, loss, passage of time, and coming of age.

Chris would like to thank Stephen Artner for playing keyboard on "The Herpetologist", "The Vermonter", and "Maury Park", as well as percussion on "Buffalo". He would also like to thank Kat Manalo for providing backing vocals on "Buffalo". Most importantly, he would like to thank you, the listener, for taking the time to check out his music.
