The album, Holiday on Earth, has 14 original songs written by Dudley DeNador along with two bonus tracks which are the first two songs written, and recorded, by his son, Alex Zander DeNador. The title song, Holiday on Earth, is based on a quote by Earl Nightingale about how our time on Earth is like a holiday and that we need to enjoy our time while we are here.
Dudley wrote Come Some Other Morning, Pass it By, Found in Time, Gasoline, Waterfall, The Way it Goes, and Nothin but Change during his early 20's while touring with bands and doing a six-month tour of Europe where he earned money as a busker. Cross the Divide, Slipstream, Bribery, Freedom, Earth Blues, and Let it Roll were written while recording the album.
Guitars and vocals on most of the songs on the album are by Dudley DeNador. Alex Zander DeNador contributed keyboards as well as guitar and vocals for some of the sessions. Zander also played guitar and sings the vocals for his two original songs, Ride the Fire and Feeling Numb.
Piano, keyboards, bass guitar, and drums were added, expertly recorded, and mixed by Robert Berry, owner of Soundtek Studios in Campbell, California.
The album was mastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, California.
