Duke And The Winter Animals

by Duke London

Melodic, fun, FOR kids but not "kiddy"--adults enjoy as much. Delightful animal characters are also featured, with valuable lessons subtly presented. Warm, with smooth vocals, this is an imaginative CD kids request over and over again.

Album Notes
Disney songwriter, Larry Wright wrote and produced this delightful project for kids and the “Kid” in everyone. Introduced by Jimbo (a Koala) and Duke (a human) listeners are invited to play the suggested game while listening, or to just listen and enjoy.

Imaginative characters propel this clever and melodic production.

Inspired by a four year old to write songs for young audiences, Wright was regularly invited to create songs for Walt Disney Records after the then Executive Producer got hold of his song “Smile Once More”.

Wright says: “When ‘Mickey Mouse’ would call to request a song, I’d get so excited and write ten!” Many of the songs not used by Disney later became part of an educational, live production called “8 Steps to Student Success!” which has been enjoyed by thousands of children throughout California.

Winter is a favorite time of year for Wright, so this project was designed to capture the warm and cozy, fun and loving, exciting (and even a little scary) feeling of the season.

The cd is for FAMILY, so all can enjoy: “DUKE and the Winter ANIMALS!”

Great CD--creative, intelligent and fun! I love Jimbo!
This is truly an original effort. This is an intelligent, creative and fun CD. My son and I loved finding the winter animal connections in each of the songs. I shivered during "It's Cold" and I laughed during "What's My Name."
I am not embarrassed to admit that I listen to Duke even when my son is NOT in the car!

It makes you clearly see each character
Listening to this CD, I felt I had an immediate connection with each of the characters...very heartwarming.

On Behalf of Parents
I've gotten so many letters and other communications from parents (Thanks!) that say they're surprised to see their kids willingly sit so long while this cd plays. But most common in the responses is that adults enjoy it along with the kids. Happy to humbly reccommend: Duke and the Winter Animals!
