Album Notes
Dulcimer Dan & The Blue Skies Band have been creating wonderful back porch music in the old timey Carolina style for over 25 years. Selling over half a million CD’s they have been featured on the Billy Graham radio show, appeared on the QVC shopping channel selling 12,000 CD’s in under five minutes and created the theme music for the Emmy Award winning PBS gardening show Making It Grow. Their music has even been used as wake up music for the NASA space shuttle astronauts and used by gymnasts in the floor exercise of the U.S. Nationals gymnastic competition.

Aside from a successful music career, Dan has been a critical care nurse in North Carolina for the past 30 years and has worked in Cardio-Thoracic ICU in open heart recovery, recovery room trauma team and infusion chemotherapy for Duke University Medical Center. But one of Dan’s favorite stints in nursing was as a camp nurse for the Easter Seals Society. His career in nursing continues today as a Facilities Survey Inspector for the State of North Carolina as he insures the safety and viability of the delivery of medical care for the residents of North Carolina.

Dan also wholesales his CD's to retail outlets and can be contacted via email at dgilvary@aol.com or by calling 919-562-0893.
