ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
George Dumitriu (Romania) - guitar and electronics
Mattia Magatelli (Italy) - bass
Kristijan Krajnčan (Slovenia) - drums

Having met in the North of Netherlands and identifying their intuitive connection, the three European musicians are gathering their forces to explore a vast musical territory. The foundation that they’re building on is jazz but the architecture is made out of elements of classical music, post-rock, alternative, electro, folklore. Spontaneous improvisation and extreme dynamics are some of their most important features. As lieder of the group, the Romanian guitarist George Dumitriu is the main provider of compositions, but without shadowing the lyrical music of the Italian bassist, nor the polyrithmics and complex structures used by the Monk Competition semifinalist Slovenian drummer in his compositions. An important part of the DUMItRIO sound is the live electronics used by the guitarist.
