ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The 5-piece band grew out of the lively music scene of the Chateauguay Valley. Centered in historic Ormstown, Quebec, the band’s first performance was at the Ormstown Branches and Roots Music Festival in the fall of 2011. Collectively the Poets have over 100 years of musical experience to draw from. Rock, blues, country, jazz and gospel flavors are presented in one cohesive sound as familiar as it is fresh. With each member writing in the full bloom of their creativity, the band has come together to answer the poetic impulse of their times and create “Where the River Flows”, their first C.D. released to the delight of all who have heard it. The second album released in 2014 is Chikkaboodah Stew followed by their new album called Grimshaw Road Enjoy!

With a lifetime full of all kinds music influences - this rootsy, folky, bluesy band sounds as familiar as it does fresh!

Vocals Kevin Harvey
Guitarist David Whyte
Guitarist Neil Elsmore
Bassist Carl Rufh
Percussionist James Preimel
