Album Notes
Shane Dwight has signed a "record deal" with R-Tist Records and Vizztone Label Group for the international release of two new CD's ("Plays the Blues" & "Gimme Back My Money")

Shane Dwight PLAYS THE BLUES features ten original blues songs, the kind of high-octane performances that have made Shane a standout at countless festivals and clubs across the US and Europe.
Half of the tracks are live recordings, showing exactly what drives his legions of fans crazy night after night. Studio tracks (featuring guest appearances by Gold Record Producer and harmonica player Richard Rosenblatt, and Bob Margolin of Muddy Waters fame) show Shane to be a soulful blues singer, songwriter and guitarist of the highest order. "... In spite of 'old' influences, Shane Dwight is anything but dated ... Dwight hops up crowds wandering in from both hip-hop and rock clubs ... He's
been known to incite the girls to crazy-wild behavior." (Metro Silicon Valley)

Shane Dwight cut his teeth on the rough and tumble East Side of San Jose California, where his natural talents were influenced by the neighborhood’s diverse musical undercurrents. He became proficient at various styles,
and played in jazz and rock bands before finding his groove with the blues.

Shane’s popularity spread quickly, and in 2002 he easily won the Monterey Blues Festival Battle of the Bands. Since that time Shane has released
several self-produced CDs (selling over 40,000 copies) and has kept up a hectic schedule, appearing at countless clubs and festival Main Stages including Florida’s “Springing the Blues” Festival , Beale Street Music Festival, Monterey Blues Festival, the Portland Waterfront Blues Festival, the San Diego Blues Festival, and many more; Shane’s energetic performances and charismatic appeal have made him a repeat performer on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruises; Shane provided the house band
for the nationally televised “Microsoft Insider Live”, appeared twice as a featured guest on Elwood Blues’ House of Blues Radio Hour, and has received airplay on hundreds of radio stations worldwide.

Recently, Shane moved to Nashville, Tennessee and signed with the prestigious Intrepid Artists booking agency. This year he’ll be performing over 150 shows throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. On June 23, 2009 he will be releasing his first TWO internationally-distributed CDs. Shane Dwight’s rocket is definitely on the rise, and this is shaping up to be a one heck of a year for this genre-busting artist.

Shane Dwight has done it again! Another great album from an awesome artist. Shane Dwight rocks the house on his live songs and is a MUST SEE live! The electricity in the air when he and his band perform is incredible. Great job on the new cd, looking forward to lots more!!!!

Radio DJ
great album! I like his sound and he's a very good singer too. He loves Albert King and the boogie man JL Hooker and I love 'em too. I really would like to see him live performing because this Blues got to be played loud. Turn up your amps when you listen to Shane Dwight. I will defenintly give him air play in Germany again and again so that people wake up and listen to this great musician. See you in October on the Pacific Blues Cruise!
