ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After the success of 2012's "Not Your Average Bear", Inland Empire artist D'zyl 5k1 (pronounced Diesel 5001) saw the other side of the struggle and began catapulting through the ranks of independent artists in Southern California. Milestone after milestone, he kept true to his motto, "your only limitation is your imagination." He thought to himself, "what would be crazy and unheard of? What can an independent artist NOT do...or SHOULD not do yet? A double cd." A platform only typically reserved for soundtracks, compilations, greatest hits, and major label artists-it proved to be his greatest challenge yet. But through those challenges, he found growth and began making music that he only dreamed of making in his earlier years...though now-he has the wisdom, experience, and refined talent to make it happen. Whether it be an r&b song, something scary, speaking another language, or even opera....nothing is off limits on this project.

Forever the workaholic, D'zyl always believes in getting more for his money, and in turn, giving supporters the most for their money. Whilst working on this double album, he released a collabo album via Maximum Capacity, entitled, "79 Stones", and a collabo ep, "The D'zyl Prime EP", with producer Rodimus Prime, both in 2013. He also recorded, mixed, and mastered 4 album for his team, Uproar Nation, many albums for clients, over 150 features, and a slew of collaborative songs that inspired the second disk of this album. Surrounded by so many talented artists that he would meet at shows and various outlets, he extended his hand to people he respected and wished to create some timeless music with. So, in reality, you're getting two different albums. One-a result of too much imagination and exponential growth, and two-a compilation album of like-minded artists who aren't afraid to go off the deep end with him.

This is not just another double cd, it's a culmination of the DIY mentality, and ode to making timeless music by breaking stereotypes and trends, and something that will be the legacy of a man who stuck to his guns and kept reloading.
