ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Review by Matthew Forss
Rating: 4.5 Stars (out of 5)

A talented guitarist, vocalist, keyboardist and drummer, earth.boy hails from Vancouver, British Columbia and produces a third album, The Disappearance of Fireflies, which sets the stage for blues, folk, rock, pop, jazz, and alternative song constructions. The fourteen-track release contains nine original songs and five covers. The project is anything but ordinary, as it traverses several genres in both vocal and instrumental forms. The music is diverse, quirky, alternative, bluesy, and folksy throughout.

Review by Alex Henderson
3.5 stars out of 5

The Disappearance of Fireflies is best described as a quirky, unpredictable mixture of British invasion rock, folk-rock, blues and jazz. Earth.boy has very eclectic tastes, and listening to this album, one has no trouble believing it. Earth.boy is not an easy artist to pigeonhole, which is a big part of the fun when The Disappearance of Fireflies is playing. Diversity is one of earth.boy's strong points, and it serves him pleasingly well on The Disappearance of Fireflies.
