Album Notes
Songs for strong women and girls. From the artist who began "Helping Heal the Planet One Song at a Time" twelve albums ago, Earth Mama offers a new collection to honor the Women's Suffrage Centennial. It includes a brand new recording of "Standing On the Shoulders" the anthem sung globally to honor progress for women. Two new anthems, "Women Rock the World" and "HerStory", dare you to not sing along.
Choral arrangments and sheet music available

Includes "Women Rock the World":
Uptempo pop/rock anthem celebrating the incredible power of women and the ways all women “rock the world”... from cradling babies to riding a rocket in space! Features a strong singalong chorus to a dance groove. Women love this song!

"Standing on the Shoulders":

We are doing a concert early in 2020 to celebrate the centennial of the 19th amendment and will be singing this.
It's such a beautiful and important song.
—Paul Caldwell, artistic director of the Seattle Women's Chorus.

Wonderful collection of songs that are very diverse. Many are very singable and will be terrific for energizing groups to press onward in the struggle. I love the way so many fore-mothers are honored—let’s here it for those sturdy shoulders!

I believe this CD expresses the strong, fearless feelings of the suffragist! Turn up the volume and let the passion expressed in these songs take you back in time. I loved the music.

The transformations of the 21st Century require new energy and imagination.  The songs on EarthMama’s new CD HerStory provide much needed vision and inspiration.  Every woman, man and child need these songs to enliven them to do their part in creating a brilliant tomorrow in which humans live in a mutually enhancing relationship with each other and the non-human realm.
