Album Notes
Many obstacles for these gents have come about since this album’s first recording session. “Working Title” has been over two years in the making. The band was even known by another name when it started! After the never convenient and rarely amicable departure of a band member, the addition of two, investing in a new live sound set up, purchasing a new touring vehicle, and even a minor band name change, this group is emerging with it's most solid line-up yet and a dynamite record to push.

The album...
"Working Title" began in the Fall of 2011 and was the second project teaming the boys with Frank Marchand, III and Randy LeRoy of Airshow Mastering in Takoma Park, MD. After their first time around, recording "Whiskey Tonight" (released May of 2011), they couldn't wait to work together again. Initially “Working Title” was conceived as a "bluegrass with drums" EP to showcase another side of the band's versatility. Guest work from banjo-badass, Robert Mabe, supremely elevated each track. Relatively soon after initial sessions, the Electric Co. went back into the studio to record another EP of electric material. This time bringing blues-harp extraordinaire, "Big" Mike Noyes, to sit in. Adding vocals from the very sweet Ms. Nancy Micciulla and high-lonesome fiddle from Merl Johnson, what they were left with was an honest and tasteful mix of Rock, Country, and Americana tracks. The decision was made to release a full album. “Working Title” was the literally the working title throughout, and in the end it stuck.

The band’s name change...
Eastern Electric started as The Electric Co. in the Fall of 2007. They played hundreds of shows, drove thousands of miles, and recorded several projects. After five solid years, by late 2012 tensions between the founding members had boiled over. Johnny "Suit" Sybert had to leave the band. A great bass player and songwriter, his previous impact had been significant. Although not required, Nate and Sonny decided to voyage into the next chapter of their band as Eastern Electric. "Working Title" is even signified in print as the coming from the band "Eastern Electric Co." to emphasize this transition. Although confusing at times... It’s just a transition. Eastern Electric looks forward to seeing you soon.

Enjoy the tunes... turn them up loud!
