Album Notes
Eclectic Verve is a band from Lakewood, Colorado consisting of singer/songwriter/guitarist Kent Lehman and vocalist Cindy Musil. Guest musicians Kevin Lehman and Carl West provided percussion and bass guitar for their debut album Something on the Way, which was released June 11, 2011.

The music integrates a variety of styles. The music brings to mind artists such as R.E.M., Collective Soul, and even hints of John Denver in the vocals. In “Am I Crazy?”, “California Shakedown”, and “Signs” you can hear some of Kent’s guitar influences such as The Edge of U2, Andy Summers of The Police, and Stuart Adamson of Big Country from the ‘80s. The guitar style of Alex Lifeson of Rush influenced “This is the Time”, “We are the Watchdogs”, and “California Shakedown”. Kent’s years of playing Stevie Ray Vaughan and blues tunes are apparent in several guitar solo structures and a few riffs that sneak out on the tail end of “Going to Colorado” and “Cobalt Sky”.

The title "Something on the Way" describes the theme of the album which is based on having the feeling that there is a change coming but not knowing exactly what that change might entail. Hence the images of train tracks and signs that give part of the picture but not the whole thing. These songs capture a snapshot of Kent's feelings and experiences from Fall 2010 and we’re hoping that others may relate! With the diverse range of pop/rock influences there are songs that appeal to a wide variety of tastes, we hope you enjoy listening to them as much as we enjoyed creating them.
