ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Eddie Rice Project was put together by Steve Eddie Rice. Former leader of the 80's rock n roll band Eddie and the Tide. Eddie and the Tide were a well known San Francisco Bay area band who won best bay area club band two years in a row. Their first Atlantic release was produced by Eddie Money and produced the hit single One In A Million. Their second Atlantic recording was produced by British artist B. A. Robertson (writer of Mike And The Mechanics "Silent Running") and featured the single Weak In The Presence Of Beauty. Also their song Running Wild Running Free was featured in the movie Grand View U.S.A. staring Jamie Lee Curtis. Their song Power Play was also featured in the hit 80's film Lost Boys. Featured on this project are original Eddie and the Tide drummer Scott Mason and Keyboardist Chris Rieger. Also featured are Nashville session guitarist Van O'Dell and bassist Kenny Ames of Jason and the Scorcher fame. This latest CD features some strong songwriting from Steve Eddie Rice and he feels like there is something for everyone on this project. If your in the mood for straight ahead rock n roll check out "Life Is Short" and "Summer Song". If your in the mood for a healing ballad check out "Time Takes Time" and "If Love Was Just A Word". If your in mood for a mid tempo song reminiscent of Steely Dan check out "In This House". If you ever fell asleep with a radio on your pillow listening to the Beatles and Motown then "Transistor Radio" will speak to you with it's soulful groove. Download or buy the CD and enjoy this timeless music!

The Eddie Rice Project
I purchased this release in CD form, months ago, and, not being a cdbaby member at the time, I never did leave a review.

Steve's singing and songwriting are fantastic on this album.. The lead cut really brings me back to his days with The Tide, having a nice build, great guitar parts, accessible lyrics and a great energy.

The album moves along nicely, with every track being totally appreciable. Summer Song feels like The Beach Boys meet The Beatles.. Very cool.. Let Nature Heal Me is another one I really like.

The songs are all mixed and mastered very well.

Great music from a great group of musicians!
