Album Notes
Press Release - The Guide - Western North Carolina...
Haywood County is full of hometown talent. Men and women who have worked to preserve much of our Appalachian heritage. This talent has helped promote others in the entertainment field as well. Some of that homegrown talent is Eddie Rose and Gary Allen. Their special music genre is traditional Bluegrass Music.

Eddie and Gary have been making music together for over 30 years. The influences of people such as Bill Monroe and Doyle Lawson are just a few who have passed on their style of performance and taste in music.

As the years have passed two different hands, Hazel Creek and most currently, Eddie Rose and Highway Forty have encompassed the talents of these two men. As their genre of music has not changed, their musical gifts have only been enhanced with the years of experience and the many other talented artists they have had the opportunity to play with over the years.

Some of the Bluegrass artists that these two men have crossed paths with have been: Raymond Fairchild, Barry Scott, Paul Williams, Bobby Hicks, Darren Nicholson, Steve Sutton, Mark Kuykendall, Seth Taylor and Balsam Range, just to name a few. Eddie Rose and Highway Forty have taken what they have learned from those before them to carry on the legend and true nature of Bluegrass music. Eddie and Gary continue to be blessed with other talented folks. Most recently the band consists of brothers Josh and Ben Hodges from Sandymush and George Giddens from Bakersville. The amazing talents of these two gentlemen also contributed to the making of this CD.

Eddie Rose and Highway Forty are not new comers to making CDs, but this group is releasing their new CD as Eddie Rose and Highway Forty. This CD is called "Memories of Home" and it contains two songs written by Eddie Rose entitled "Memories of Cove Creek" and "Cataloochee".

Through the years of family tradition of playing and singing, Eddie has held onto the memories of the place his parents called home, and that is Haywood County's own Cove Creek. Eddie's inspiration for making this CD was encouraged by his fans who are captivated by his voice. His God-given talent needed to be unleashed to all who are willing not only to listen to him and his group during live shows, but to have the newest CD of a group who share in Eddie's love of Bluegrass music.
