Real Thin Dream

by Ed Englerth Band

They know how to groove with an occasional ambient glow showing through. It’s a musical conversation among the musicians about the subjects at hand, a living organism, and they’ve learned what you don’t play is as important as what you do.

Album Notes
A three piece rock band that’s been marinating in a sauce of Bill Frisell, Buddy Miller, Steve Scott, Mediski Martin & Wood, Miles Davis, Joe Walsh, Bill Laswell, Terje Repdal, Alex Machacek, Eric Trufazz, and Frank Zappa.

Ed Englerth has a new trio featuring Randy Carlson on bass and Matt Larghi on percussion. They play ‘Moody Intelligent Folk Jazz Blues’ – both instrumentals and vocals.

Ed Englerth has played music with; Ray White (Frank Zappa & Zappa Plays Zappa), Kenny Meeks (Sixpence None The Richer), Joe English (Paul McCartney & Wings), Robin Robbins (Bob Seger), John Lawry (Petra), Jan Krist, Dave Perkins (Chagall Guevara), Donny Hartman (Frost), and Harvey Jet (Black Oak Arkansas).

Randy Carlson has performed internationally including Guatemala and El Salvador where his band performed for more than 15,000 people. The concert in El Salvador marked the first appearance by an American band in that country’s history. Randy has played with Xalt, Rob Frazier, Scott Riggan, John Cox, and Johnathon Pagano.

Matt Larghi originally from Keller, Texas by way of Colorado rounds out the band. He has played Red Rocks in Colorado between the years 2010-2013. Inspired by such greats as Ginger Baker, Louie Bellson, Gene Krupa, and Steve Gadd, he is excited to bring his style into the mix.

Ed Englerth Band pulls the pulse from three generations of musical influences rockin’ through this outrageous set of music recorded live.
