Album Notes
About "Paper Rings: 8 love stories" ~~

Thanks to a wonderful couple named Fred and Becky who gave me the courage to write my very first commissioned song back in 2004 (“What Love Looks Like” from Another Kind of Fire), I have been lucky enough to have written over two dozen songs for couples and families since then. They have been surprise wedding vows and gifts for graduations, anniversaries, and birthdays. Amazingly, these folks have trusted me (and the wilds of the U.S. postal service) with their love letters, poems, and scribbled sweet nothings that they've saved for years. They’ve shared with me lovely little details like how she takes her coffee, if he’s shy about dancing, or how she really, really loves Christmas. The photographs they send are almost as helpful as the stories they share for getting a sense of who this beloved person is. Then I take all these pieces and attempt to weave them into a song. Thank you to these remarkable couples for allowing me to share their stories with you.
