About Edison & Hirsch:

Collectively Edison and Hirsch have contributed to hundreds of Japanese television and radio commercials and programs, various corporate and private projects, as well as projects for European, Southeast Asian and USA markets, for decades now. The two first met on a gig for Honda Motors in Tokyo. Working on sponsored projects, neither retained ownership rights to any of their many creative endeavours. The two decided to collaborate on projects whenever the opportunity arose and see what they could come up with.

Edison Watanabe is a much sought after Japanese producer, arranger and composer with hundreds of commercial projects and several major releases to his credit. He is the Swiss Army Knife of musical skills who honed his arranging and recording chops in New York and Hawaii on projects with Rufus Thomas, Russ Kunkel and many others. In Tokyo he collaborates on many projects, such as the very successful 'I Am a Thousand Winds' with Japanese classical tenor Masafumi Akikawa and the successful Jazz cover instrumental releases of Lennon and McCartney CDs for RCA Victor, Japan to name but two. He also scores and synchronises music for popular Japanese Modern Dance ensemble programmes.

Lonnie Hirsch is a Californian that worked in advertising in Los Angeles with McCarthy Creative Services and performed for Lehman Engel Showcases for emerging composers. Leaving LA and touring with his band Eclipse, Lonnie later worked with Paul 'Dixie' Hatfield, Hank Williams Jr., Johnny Paycheck and many others of country music fame, to end life on the road in Waikiki with the M&M's Show Band at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Garden Bar. Moving to Tokyo, Lonnie is now a cast member of a weekly nationwide TV programme, and a CM vocalist, narrator, writer and editor.

About 'The Happiness Blues':

Edison and Hirsch's styles these days range from simple POP to Easy Listening and Ballads, several tracks even sound like oldies. Edison and Hirsch have released three full length projects and an EP single of four tunes, and 'The Happiness Blues', being their fourth and most recent full CD project, encompasses POP styles presenting positive, reflective, yet realistic, views of life and the world percolating around us today!
