ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Edlynn is an italian singer and songwriter. "Tales of night and fires" is her first solo album, after recording with Brotherhood, the folk band in which she moved her first steps as a singer. She's still a member of the band, to which she contributes with her voice and her composing skills, but she felt it was the time to concentrate on her solo project, devoting her time to the care of songs deviating from the folk orientation of the band.
Edlynn's musical influences include pop, folk, rock, celtic, medieval and ethnic sounds, soundtracks and musicals. As a composer (and a listener, also), she's especially interested in melody, and has a special love for minimal, acoustic arrangements (with some exceptions: she's also a fan of symphonic metal and big orchestrations.)
The arrangements of this album are the result of the collaboration between Edlynn and Brotherhood. The almost all acoustic arrangements enrichen these eleven songs, each one displayng its peculiar character.
The album title comes from the recurring theme in the stories told by the lyrics.
