ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Bio is on a mission to the stars. One woman draws us into an absurdist sci-fi fantasy and a potentially murderous intrigue. Riding on an original electro-choral-orchestral music score and a conceptual space vehicle, one woman draws us into a quest for identity and a potentially murderous intrigue.

To satisfy her craving for an ideal life away from earthly disappointment, Bio leads us on a voyage to the planet of Tri-Flora. She must contend with a fractured reality and intrusive family members. Bio is escaping the lies and disappointments of earthy existence under the guidance of a compendium “The Art of Lies and Obfuscation: Theory and Practice”, or so she thinks.

In reality, she is attempting to restore her fractured psyche after an unfortunate experience in the womb. She is the surviving twin from the contentious Vanishing Twin Syndrome.

Synopsis:
BIO is a woman in her 30’s who has survivor guilt and chronic uncertainty caused by the Vanishing Twin Syndrome. To fill the great emptiness in her life and believing the world to be full of lies, Bio has found, or so she thinks, her path to salvation - a journey to the idyllic planet of Tri-Flora. On this planet exists a grand civilization based on Bio-mimetics and where there are no lies.
Bio presents herself as the passenger assistant on an intergalactic voyage run by SpaceNirvana to the Tri-Florian system some light years away. She is leading us to a distant world of singing, dancing and free love, all guided by a Compendium: Gloria McFillan’s “The Art of Lies and Obfuscation: Theory and Practice”.
The voyage is interrupted by Bio’s family members who each try to make her see some sense.
Her mother, Iris, is worried for Bio but then manipulates and castigates her. A daughter, Bliss, appeals for help from within a locked cell but is disowned by Bio who claims she has never been pregnant. Her twin sister, Ono, insists they are both still within the womb, waiting to be born.
Finally, Bio is faced with her own digital replica – a cipher for the eventual extinction of carbon-based life forms.
Bio travels from hopeful idealism to hopeful realism as she reconciles her analogue/digital existence.
