Album Notes
Thanks for dropping by.Please, come in. I had the privilege of playing guitar with Larry McNeely,(National banjo champion who took John Hartford's place),when Larry was on Glen Campbell's Good Time Hour show at CBS in Hollywood,CA..To list a few of our performances, Larry and I had the privilege and pleasure of opening shows for such greats as Muddy Waters,(Greenwich Village,New York City,N.Y.),Anne Murray,(Sierra-at-Tahoe,California),and Glen Campbell,(Hilton Hotel Las Vegas,Nevada). When I was signed to Capitol records,Glen Campbell produced my first published song"Laurel Canyon sky song".(A song I co-wrote with Larry). In '77-'78 I enjoyed my first chart record while in a rock band called MESA. Sailing Ships is a song I wrote with MESA band members. Clayton Ivey and Terry Woodford for Wishbone,Inc. Muscle Shoals, Alabama produced this one. With Ariola America Records,Our song rode Americas hot 100 for 13 weeks."Sailing Ships" was a Southern regional hit reaching number 1 in Florida and the "top 10" throughout the Southern United States. I've not heard Edward's album per se, but sampled these fine offerings above. Most excellent!
