Album Notes
This album presents an edgier sound than my previous recordings while still maintaining the all-important smooth and earthy elements of blues and jazz. You will want to dance the blues, swing, or samba while falling in love with the songs of Cole Porter, Burt Bacharach and Hal David, Miles Davis, George and Ira Gershwin, and other renowned composers. I have chosen these songs for their deep, rich lyrics, expressive melodies and mood. This has a little something for everyone.

The album features Terry Lower (piano), Sam Weber (bass) and Evan Hyde (drums). It also has appearances of guest soloists Michael Hyde (guitar), John Gist (sax), Rob Smith (trumpet), Rob Mulligan (percussion), Charlie Hoats (bass on Track 10), Rick Chyme (verse), Eric Tanner (violin), Chris Martin (violin), Leslie Van Becker (viola) and Steve VanRavenswaay (cello).

If you love "Girl Talk," you'll love "Magic in His Eyes."

Her best is the best there is!
I have had the pleasure of seeing Edye Evans-Hyde many times over the last few years in southwest Michigan. The first time I played this CD was in a retail store in Saugatuck, as the second song played I had a customer comment on the music playing, I told him about Edye and he was so impressed with the singing and the music that he wrote down all the information to order a CD. I cannot wait to hear these songs live! Congratulations Edye~

Magic In His Eyes
The cd is very edgy and contains a variety of music for jazz lovers. I especially loved You Don't Know What Love Is and So What. The title track Magic In His Eyes was a pleasant surprise and the musicians were great on every selection. I plan to purchase many copies for birthday gifts in the next two months. I am an Edye Evans Hyde fan for life.

Great CD!
As someone who doesn't have extensive knowledge of jazz music, I am in love with this CD. The variety is great and the musicians are especially fabulous. Edye's voice is so smooth and easy to listen to. My favorite tracks are What Is This Thing Called Love and Willow Weep For Me. I definitely plan on recommending this CD to my jazz loving friends!
