Album Notes
Describing music or musicians with the term "ambient" these days is less specific than it used to be. But that's what e fisch is. Solo electric guitar is used to create evolving textures and improvised sonic landscapes that combine the moment with structure.

This eponymous debut by e fisch is his first collection of solo ambient music. Virtually all of the pieces on this cd were recorded in a single take. Overdubs were kept to a minimum as improvisation and chance blend with composition to create unique musical textures. As a soundtrack to a non-existent film, these improvs encourage the mind to follow.

An unreleased track
"A Grey Breeze Where Once There Was Presence"
was chosen to close the "Guitars For Freedom II" benefit CD

Well I bought this and I have not taken it out of my cd player as of yet. The only sad thing is that the speakers I have wont go loud enough. for a cd that has mostly soundscape this is an amazingly sweet one my only down side to this is that it ends I wish it could have went on for ever

Frippertronics fans will like this.
This one should appeal to fans of Robert Fripp's Frippertronics and Soundscapes projects, based as it is on similar sustained, processed, looped and layered guitar lines. But while the techniques and resultant textures are similar, Mr. Fisch definitely has his own distinct sense of phrasing and timbre which takes this beyond mere imitation. This never gets as harsh or dark as the later Soundscapes, but is pleasant and contemplative.
