Album Notes
Shawn Eiferman has been performing and writing music for almost 20 years, but has spent his whole life surrounded by entertainment. His mother was a world-famous opera singer and his father was a pioneer of body building(former Mr. America/Mr. Universe), who later did shows with Mae West and Debbie Reynolds, and made television and film appearances for more than thirty years.

Shawn began playing guitar at the early age of nine growing up in Bellingham, Washington, before his family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where he currently resides and performs regularly as the house entertainment at both the House of Blues Las Vegas, and the Nils Lofgren Guitar Bar. Shortly after moving to Las Vegas, he jumped into the local scene with both feet, playing solo gigs for seven years and earning UNLV's 'College Entertainer of the Year' award two years in a row. In 1994, he won a Battle of the Bands competition by himself against eleven full-piece bands!

Shawn founded and fronted an acoustic modern rock band, Epstein?s Mother, for the last six years. He decided to continue his work as a solo artist after the band?s break up in September 2001

The following is a list of accomplishments and accolades Eiferman has garnered over the years:

1st place winner in the 2001 USA Songwriting Contest(rock category)..2nd place overall!

"Catch this guitar playin', joke crackin', rock n' roll singin', incredibly talented wild man before he makes it big."

In Music magazine calls him "an all-around hip musician and scenester with an extensive repertoire and dynamic stage presence."

"[Eiferman] brings a sense of humor and breezy competent style to his stage- his songwriting is an honest collection of work that puts him above the average entertainer."

Voted 'Best Guitar Player in Vegas' In Las Vegas Weekly Annual Readers Poll, 2000

Featured in Gig, L.A. Weekly and Music Connection magazines, being compared to everyone from Dave Mathews, Tonic and Hootie and the Blowfish to Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger.

Performed with and/or opened for Edwin McCain, Hootie and the Blowfish, Sugar Ray, Barenaked Ladies, the Violent Femmes, Sister Hazel, Paula Cole, Sammy Hagar, Pat Benetar, Todd Rundgren, Train, Toby Keith, the Goo Goo Dolls and Guns N' Roses, to name a few.

His songwriting has been featured on the WB's "Dawson?s Creek," a Ford Motor Company ad campaign, USA Network?s ? TV Show, Canada?s Much Music program "Ed The Sock," and many episodes of MTV's "Undressed" and " Road Rules" shows.

Very good!!!
This cd is great!!! For those who like rock 'n' roll with a lot of acoustic guitar it is a "must have". Some songs reminds me Paul Westerberg. If you like this you have to try Ponder's think about it CD (Shawn' band)

Paul Buchheit

Solid CD, Shawn is a great writer and Guitar Player!
I think the CD is pretty balenced with some slower jams and some more up tempo stuff. I really like Misunderstood and D Minor. I would recommend the CD for anyone who is into Matchbox Twenty, Dave Matthews, or any other guitar music.

Katrina Leshan

This CD rocks!
Like mentioned in another review, this CD really has a song for every mood you can be in. I highly recommend it for anyone of any age, because you'll find yourself lost in the music (a good place to be!). Also, no matter what age you are, you find one song that suits you and you'll seriously have the repeat button on that song for HOURS on end! This CD is both inspiring and entertaining.

A great album!
Misunderstood has a song for whatever mood you are in. There are a few that will make you want to learn the words and sing out loud and a few to make you sit down and reflect on the decisions of your life. It's powerful writing and that always makes for a great album.
