Album Notes
Billy 'Pills' Fridrich is a well-known songwriter and guitarist from the Long Island, NY scene. He was the lead guitarist and songwriter for the rock bands Celestial and HeavySurf; his side project, No Excuses, plays throughout the NY area covering the best of 90's rock. His latest project, Eight Feet Deep, fuses the rock and funk that influences his writing and playing styles. For Eight Feet Deep, Billy plays lead, rhythm and bass guitars, writes and programs the drum tracks, and composes the lyrics. Ever since joining Riot back in 1993, singer Mike DiMeo has been responsible for some of the most soulful vocals laid down in the modern metal scene. Beginning with 1994's "NIGHTBREAKER", DiMeo soon found his footing, contributing not only fantastic vocals, but also well thought out lyrics which are some of the most articulate in the melodic power metal genre. On Eight Feet Deep, Mike worked with Billy at On Track Recording to record some of his best vocals to date.
