ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Eileen Tackney was born in Cavan, Ireland and her roots are in traditional and classical music but always loved the world of synth sounds. With her first album South she was noted as 'One to Watch' by Tony Clayton-Lea in The Ticket of The Irish Times in 2013' - A wonderful intuitive bridge between old-school electronica Can Cluster and Rick Wakeman) and latterday exponents of the genre (Ulrich Schnauss) Since then she has written and co-produced this album with 'Martyn Barker (Robert Plant, Marianne Faithful, Big World Blue) and features his excellently creative grooves and percussion that first found reknown in the band 'Shriekback'. Singer/songwriter Jo Beth Young (Big World Blue, Kalitie) lends her ethereal and passionate vocals to some of the tracks along with her poetic lyricism. This is melodic electronica at its best.
