Album Notes
The El Corols Band & Show was one of Washington D.C.'s most popular Soul bands during the 1960s. The band played up and down the East coast and in some of D.C.'s most popular performance spots. The El Corols opened for and provided backup music for many of the biggest R&B & Soul acts of the time, such as The Temptations, Jerry Butler, Inez and Charlie Foxx, William Bell, The Intruders, The Delfonics, William Bell and many others. Over forty years later the song "Chick Chick" found here on CD Baby is still popular and being played nightly in England and throughout Europe as part of the The Northern Soul movement.
