Presented here is the celebration of Halim El-Dabh's 80th birthday presented by KSU faculty, students and guest artists.
El-Dabh has written for opera, symphony, ballet, orchestra, chamber and electronic music drawing inspiration from the heart of cultures in Africa and Asia.
El-Dabh is University Professor Emeritus at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio where he has taught since 1969.
Students and young colleagues who performed El-Dabh's works in this CD have often continued teaching and playing his works throughout the United States and internationally.
