ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
By day, Matt Beat is a high school history teacher. By night, the multi-instrumentalist writes and records songs about dead Presidents. Actual dead Presidents. Not the rap duo. He is recording them chronologically, and these are the first 15. Didn’t know anything about Martin Van Buren? Now you do. These songs are educational and catchy.

Electric Needle Room are an indie pop band based in Kansas City. The band started as a solo project for Matt Beat in 2004, but his brother, Steven Beat, soon joined him for live performances in late 2005. The band has released three full-length albums and two EPs since. Their latest, “It Just Came Out That Way,” was released on December 1st, 2009. Currently, Matt is working on a collection of 43 songs, each individually commemorating the 43 Presidents of the United States of America.
