Album Notes
Moonchild: Hye in the Sky is Elise Bedrosian's second album, her first in seven year, as this album is actually 13 years in the making. Presented by BOZFONK MOOSICK, This incredible eclectic album is produced by Danny Bedrosian, little brother of Moonchild, and keyboardist for Parliament-Funkadelic. Danny co wrote many of the songs with Elise, and played keyboards, percussion, sang, added voices, and all kinds of beats and arrangments to her sound. Other P-Funk alumni like Michael "Clip" Payne, and Lige Curry also appear on this album, as do former SMC/Sloptapus members Seth Ceders, Marc Munoz, and Troy Normandin, hip hop beatsmith Jon Picken, NYC hippie Richie "Shakin" Nagan, and Asphalt Panda's Duane Day, as well as others, grace this fantastic sophomore effort from Elise Bedrosian. But this album has NO Sophomore blues except for the raucous sounds on the album itself: A treasure that is 13 years in the making; indeed, Elise's first album was actually made after the second album had been started. This album has been recorded and mixed in Nashua, NH, Tallahassee, FL, Manchester, NH, Derry, NH, Woodstock, NY, Baltimore, MD, & NYC, NY, an album of truly epic proportions. Elise's eclectic style, mixed with Bedrosian's stylistic production flair and extra allowing of his sister to extend her own artistic vision, two of the songs on here (Good Morning Computer, It Hurts) were written solely by the Moonchild herself. The brother and sister wrote three of the songs together (Don't Wanna Be, Truth Part Two, and Midnight) and the two of them collaborated with Seth Ceders (Waxy Sugar and SImple Frustration), Clip and Lige (Truth Part One), Jon Picken (Equal), Duane Day and Seth Ceders (Sweet Dreams..), and Marc Munoz and Troy Normandin (Set me free). In addition, Danny solely contributed the bit of the bizarre in toast to Elise's eclectic behaviors musically, with the album mid point Sleepy Possessed, a truly psychedelic futuristic experience. Elise's vocals soar through beautiful melodies, haunting harmonies, sweet melodic whisps, and full on, female powered lyrics inspired by everything from Wonder Woman, to Belita Woods, to role models in her family and other musical idols. Elise stands out on her own as a folk/indie/alternative/funk/pop seamstress of sound. Her brother's production allows Elise the freedom she desparately needed, and yet, the controlled chaos and toybox mentality of the studio, paired with her already personally selected conceptual vision. All the songs on here are truly beautiful, and range in the extremely varied. Synthedelic Madness, Dance Funk, Gospel inspired Sad love songs, Neo soul tinged Jazz, Ambient ballads, Whimsical Pop quirkiness, Bizarre electronic experiments, sped up raw funk tracks, beautiful, vocal centered, keyboard backed epic pieces, nature inspired jazz and folk music, blistering R&B songs, Alaska inspired folk music, and Future funk music. Elise's new album has it all, and 13 years made it all the more savory, and perfect for human consumption. Of all the BOZFONK MOOSICK albums made yet, this one has been in the making for the longest. Get it today; ELISE BEDROSIAN: MOONCHILD: HYE IN THE SKY. A masterpiece of eclectic proportions! Thirteen years in the making!
