Album Notes
Too Long Away is a blend of original songs written and often performed by ElizaBeth, but which have never been recorded until now. This CD has her usual combination of lyric writing spanning love songs to songs of her Native American lifestyle--with the pleasant surprise of musical arrangements that lift her most arresting vocals into a sweet mix of traditional yet bluesy country, and folk.
Beginning with the very traditional acoustic arrangement of the title track Too Long Away, this CD continues to carry the listener on a pleasant ride through Maybe I’m Crazy and its surprising arrangement of violin and trumpet, the candid and heart-rendering husky vocals of Don’t Lie to Me--to the simplistic acoustics of the arrangement of ElizaBeth’s stellar voice with a grand piano on Your Friend.
Produced by the artist and Bob Doidge (Gordon Lightfoot, U2, Too Long Away is a feel-good, relaxing musical piece of work. (Released December 15, 2010)
