Album Notes
Elizabeth Lorrey crafts a dark blend of edgy, intense acoustic rock. At once deeply
personal and painfully universal, Lorrey's lyrics will stay with you long after the last clear
note fades away. And while her polished, professional recordings are mesmerizing, her
live shows have made her a local favorite with a growing fan base in the northeast.

Pushing "solo artist" to the extreme, Lorrey wrote, produced, engineered and performed
nearly every note on her first full-length CD, Awakening. It is a profoundly intimate
collection of songs that explores beginnings and endings and the points in between.

Producer/engineer Darleen Wilson (Patty Larkin, Shawn Colvin, Bill Morrissey, Catie
Curtis and a host of others) is a fan.

"The first time I heard Elizabeth was live in a small club in Western Mass, and she
blew me away. She's got a sultry voice with no shortage of power, and she plays a
bold but nuanced guitar. I listened to her CD the whole way home, and I still hear
something new each time I listen. Her songs get me every time."

Lorrey performs regularly throughout New England, in venues large and small, from
Portland, ME, to Providence, RI, with occasional forays to North Carolina, Michigan, and
the Southwestern U.S.

Engaging and often funny onstage, she delivers her darkly compelling songs in a way
that immediately connects with the audience, converting casual listeners into loyal new
fans with every performance.

Her newest release, Bittersweet, contains her strongest work yet.
