ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Elk Run & Riot have grown their horns in 2014. The June release of their concept record titled “Both Sides of the Valley” ties together a brilliant year of endless gigs and hard work in the studio.

Formed in early 2013, Brian Bailey, Ryan Schepens, Marc Frappier and Andrew Cotter quickly began writing original music together in Banff’s legendary Moose and Beaver apartment complex. Lyrically pulling from first hand experiences of themselves and characters living the Bow Valley dream, the songs began to write themselves like a storybook. Both Sides of the Valley is a concept record that represents the highest peaks and lowest glacial trenches that Bow valley locals endure, and the wonderful culture that is conceived from them.

Elk Run & Riot bring a high energy show filled with elements of folk, rock, bluegrass and jam. Their interweaving harmonies and strong songwritting deliver a little something for everyone young, old, and in between. Come Join the Heard!
